A compact AMC cinema in downtown Rockville Centre with helpful staff and quaint charm, though families should expect cramped non-reclining seats and occasional cleanliness concerns.
It's small for an AMC but that doesn't take away from it's charm. The only downside was that the light over where we were seated didn't turn off all the way so we were kind of under a spotlight during the movie. We were given the option to move to new seats but we had already gotten comfortable and after a while I didn't notice it. The street it's on definitely gives it an old time, small town feel. I like it. Also, huge thank you to the staff for helping us with our ticket issue. They were great.

“Clean and comfortable. I love that the seats can rock, it's nice to move around instead of being frozen on one position. For my vegan peeps, they have impossible nuggets and it's a generous portion too! Love this place and will return. The only issue is the lack of parking nearby but there is a large parking lot about 1.5 blocks away on the other side of Merrick Rd so no biggie.”

“Terrible. I walk in and the space is crowded and cramped. The snacks were $50 for like two things, and the escalator up was steep and dirty. I walk in the theater—no reclining at all. The seats look like they were bought in bulk from the dollar store, and you just crammed a bunch of them together and call it a theater. So much open space behind and in front of the seating area, but yet you decide to cram it all together? My knees were pressed by the seat in front of me, and there was popcorn on the floor prior to my seating. I wish I just went to Regal Cinemas a few minutes away. Much better experience. First time at an AMC and hopefully the last.”

“Theater five is disgusting! The springs in the reclining seats are so warm out that you can't sit up straight. The entire movie theater is filthy, there's popcorn everywhere, including in-between the cracks of the seats and the entire theater stinks like dirty diapers and stale popcorn. This used to be a great theater in a good location of RVC but it went down hill. Waiste of $35 for 2 tickets and $20 for 2 candy packs and a water. Management needs to crack down and freshen up this theater. Awful experience. 0/10”
