First ill say whats good about the theatre. The staff at the desk and cleaning staff are very nice and respectful. Care about the customers. On the other hand, the manager doesnt. After my friends and I finished watching Goat, which was a good movie, we were waiting in the corner without making a ruckus and were told to leave and wait outside, when its freezing cold at 9PM. When we tried going back in, again due to the cold, he urged us out and warned us not to come in again. We were quietly and politely waiting for our rides to arrive yet were ushered outside. Zero care for customers and probably stereotyped us as a typical teenage group.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

This AMC location has serious customer service problems that make it unsuitable for families seeking a pleasant movie experience. Management appears consistently hostile toward younger customers, and disruptive audiences go unchecked. Families would be better served choosing alternative theaters in the area.

β€œamc roosevelt field 8 used to be a decent spot to catch a movie, but it’s gone downhill. the crowd’s gotten rough loud during the show, phones flashing, people talking like they’re in their own living room. it kills the vibe. the place feels more like a hangout than a theater. security’s there but barely does anything. popcorn on the floor, seats sticky, staff looks tired. you walk in hoping for a quiet night and end up counting the minutes till the credits roll. this theater needs to tighten up better management, stricter rules, maybe a little pride in the experience again. two stars. not because the screen or sound is bad, but because it’s hard to enjoy a movie when nobody else seems to care.”

β€œSaw Wicked for Good 11/30/2025 in 3D the movie looked out of focus and blurry with the glasses they gave out. Very expensive night, though the movie was entertaining. 3D made it worse.”

β€œMe and a small group of friends visited roosevelt field mall for shopping, food, and what not and we just happen to want to see a movie while we were in the area. The closest theater that we in fact HIGHLY REGRET going to was this one. During our visit to the movie theater we encountered a frequently and unapologetically rude manager who just happened to be on shift and miserable and felt the need to reflect it onto others who wanted to just have a good time. He walked up to us RIGHT AS WE WALKED and rudely asked me and the people I was around if we were going to see a movie. We shrugged it off the FIRST TIME and told him that we were in there to see the movie hoppers and he walked away. That should’ve been the end of it, but he chose to come back and ended up using assumingely inappropriate language under his breath and then asked us if we were buying tickets and told us to just β€œbuy them”. Mind you, we haven’t even hit the three minute mark of being there. So out of the kindness and love of my heart for the people who were actually here to enjoy a movie without a tone deaf manager pestering them about tickets, I bought them instead of going to another location. And even then, that was not the end of his odd behavior, he started pestering his staff and yelling at them telling them to β€œhurry up” and complete an order not even the same minute i ordered food. I very much enjoyed the last time I went to this theatre because he wasn’t at the front pestering people for no concrete reason. Evaluations need to be done at this location especially for him because of his belligerent, tasteless, disdainful, callous, behavior. He shouldn’t be the manager of this location. Not until he learns how to respect costumers/staff to prevent losing them.”
