📍 Staten Island, NY
Large cinema offering convenient mall location and popular dine-in service that kids enjoy, though recent cleanliness and maintenance issues have concerned many families.
I am a A lister and this was first visit to this theatre. I had an amazing experience! This theatre is huge and it’s well kept and clean! The staff was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Especially the two girls I was talking to waiting to be let in to go to work. This location is attached to the Staten Island mall. When you walk in you go down the hallway to get your tickets. They are kiosks but staff is there to help you if needed. They take your ticket then you go up the escalator to the theatres. Side note they do have an elevator if you can’t do the escalator. When you reach the top of the escalator…. WOW!!!! It is impressive! This is a dine in theatre so when you order your food they will bring it to your seat! As you walk around in the hallway where the bar is look up! They have a beautiful mural of tons of stars the whole way around! I saw 2 movies there on 9/26/25! Movie 1 was in IMax and while the movie was ok the imax experience was great! Seats were super comfortable and my snacks were delicious! I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the candy m&m milkshake. Oh man the pizza was fabulous! I could’ve ate another for movie 2 but wanted something else I can’t get at home. The milkshake was thick and hard to suck thru the straw but it was delicious! Movie 2 was also ok but the experience was good. My seat didn’t recline for some reason but I just dealt with it because it would have been really inconvenient for them to have to turn the chair over to get to the wires. I ordered the the ranch burger which was really good and it came with fries and ketchup! All I’m all if I didn’t live 3 hours away I would be a regular! The whole experience was great and I highly recommend this location!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
This large cinema offers convenient mall access and popular dine-in service that kids enjoy, but significant cleanliness issues including reported mice sightings make it hard to recommend for families. The deteriorating seat quality and inconsistent maintenance suggest looking for alternative theaters unless these problems are addressed.

““Nanjing Photo Studio” is a deeply moving film that lingers long after the credits roll. By telling history through the lens of a photo studio, it captures the resilience, kindness, and humanity of ordinary people in extraordinary times. The storytelling is subtle yet powerful—there are no exaggerated scenes, only authentic emotions that strike directly at the heart. The cast delivers outstanding performances; every glance and gesture feels truthful and impactful. The pacing is tight, the atmosphere immersive, and the final act is absolutely unforgettable. This is not just a film to watch—it’s a film to remember. Five stars without hesitation.”

“Generally, I love this Staten Island location. Just a few suggestions as a regular Stubs member: 1. Please consider broadening the movie selection. I have to go into Manhattan this week just to see HAMNET, what is already buzzed about as one of the best movies of the year and featuring popular stars like Paul Mescal, who people definitely will pay to see. That considered, it doesn't make sense to me that it shouldn't be playing here if it's playing at other AMC locations. 2. The cleanliness of this theatre ebbs and flows. Initially it was great but lately, I think a little more attention could be paid to sanitation. I know things get busy and with young movie goers it can get messy easily, but I think it's essential to the moviegoing experience to have meticulously clean seats, floors and bathrooms. 3. When I order food in advance, it usually arrives stale. Orders maybe need to be coordinated better so the food is made soon before delivery or kept sufficiently hot. Otherwise, I like this theatre- and the soda selection is my favorite part. Peach Coke is not easy to find and my best friend was excited to see you sell it last time we were there! Thanks and would appreciate your attention to these points!”

“Ive noticed a decline in the quality of the seating over the years. Its a nice looking theatre overall but the seating is awful lately. The seats i choose were lumpy with loose armrests and the leather material is frayed. I went to customer service window to change my seat but no one was there. Workers at the concession stand radioed for a manager but one didnt come. After 5 minutes, The worker suggested if the theatre was not full it wouldnt be an issue to change my seat. I agreed, but the challenge was to find a USUABLE seat that didnt give me the experience of sitting in a discarded chair placed at the curb for sanitation pick up. There were dozens of seats in poor condition. Quite frankly its offensive this business cares so little for its customers they would sell seats like this to us. After the movie i checked customer service again...still no one there. I know AMC is losing millions annually and theatres are not doing well but if you want customers in your theatre you need to get the basics right.”
