A public pool house by the beach?! Wow. It was such a great and fun day for our family and kids. Attached photo will be the prices and amenities offered here. My advice is if you are in the area but want to go swim later then buy your pool wristband first. Everyone will have to be present there since they put the bracelet on each person. Some busy days they will run out of wristbands and you will be waitlisted. I arrived there 10a Sunday and came back around 2p to go swim, some people but not too crowded. We were able to get a section for our family with tables and chairs. Swimming pool: in and out access all day. $10/adult. $4/kids 1-17yrs. $5/seniors. Warm pool. Many pool chairs and family sections around pool. My only thing about this pool is that I wished it had steps to walk down gradually into the pool. It was a little difficult as a pregnant mom holding a toddler entering and exiting the pool having to use the step ladder on side of pool. House/tour/pool deck access: on the day I was there the second floor deck was closed. But great beach views. Has clean bathrooms and locker rooms. Conference rooms for events. Art gallery and staff around for any questions/concerns. Lots of space, tables, and chairs to sit and relax/enjoy the view Parking: parking was pretty difficult both times at 10a and 2p. But people were really nice and friendly/understandable to guide you to their space if they were leaving. One family before left and offered not only their spot but also their all day parking receipts ($12 all day). If you have handicap sign, parking is free. There are about total 10 spaces for handicap around this beach house Splash pad: this is accessible without having to pay for pool access. Public access. Free. Cute splash pad for toddlers not potty trained yet. Bring swim diapers and do not drink the recycled water. On the day we went, although the weather was sunny and hot. The breeze was pretty chilly. You can bring a small bag of toys with no holes and probably a bucket for toddlers to play. We spent our day 2-5p between the splash pad and main pool. Beach access: there is a wooden deck that you can walk across towards the ocean. It makes a walk to the beach much more enjoyable and bearable with things and kids Restaurant/Back on the Beach Cafe: American food. Great to have a restaurant nearby for quick snack, lunch, drinks. Next to the restaurant is a small playground for 5-12yrs old? Younger kids can join but it was pretty crowded when I went so we only stayed for a little. On the sand, obstacle courses to climb, and swings. Some shades so it’s a great amenities on site

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Families with children of all ages will find this one of Santa Monica's strongest full-day options — the free splash pad covers toddlers, the playground suits preschoolers, and the main pool works for older swimmers. Arrive early to secure wristbands before they sell out on peak days.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Purchase pool wristbands early on busy days — they sell out and a waitlist forms
All swimmers must be present when buying wristbands — you cannot buy in advance for absent family members
🎟️Bring swim diapers for the free splash pad if children are not and potty trained
🚗Pool entry is ladder-only — no gradual steps into the water

This is a lovely place! It has easy driving access and an extensive parking lot. The pool is in excellent condition and is an inexpensive option for enjoying beach days. It's right next to a public playground for kids and a restaurant. The lifeguard is always there to assist.
