Anoka Area Ice Arena
π Anoka, MN
Anoka Area Ice Arena has two indoor NHL-sized rinks, a seasonal turf field, locker rooms, heated spectator seating, and concessions. Home of Anoka Area Hockey Association and Anoka High School teams since 1981.
Updated 2026. Concessions won't take cards and they are out of pretty much everything. There are 5 kids working but they arent very attentive. Place is going downhill. This rink is older but it's honestly solid compared to a lot around. It's colder than most. Concessions are open regularly. But when it's closed, the vending machines don't all take cards which sucks. There are a couple tables and chairs to work from and a tv that shows livebarn. The hockey shop attached is the absolute best. Staff there is amazing.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with hockey-focused kids β youth leagues, high school games, and development camps run year-round. Public skate sessions welcome beginners. The turf field extends value into spring and summer for multi-sport families.
