This park is well laid out with seating along the walkways in perfect increments for senior citizens. It is not a hiking park, but a senior citizen friendly paved sodewalk park. There is a lot of activities for kids/teenagers with skate park, playground, multiple splash pads, and a train ride. The ponds and waterfalls made for a beautiful atmosphere and the extensive real grass area was great for picnics/dog walkers. The train ride was adorable for how excited the 7 and under crowd was for it... and maybe me. The monument to veterans was a very cool piece that was unexpected, but lovely with the named bricks. Bottom line, if you have kids of any age, they will enjoy this park along with senior citizens, but don't come here for a mountain hike.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children spanning a wide age range — toddlers through teens each find dedicated spaces that hold their attention independently. The train ride is the headline draw for under-sevens. Fishing ponds, the skate park, and sports courts keep older kids and adults occupied.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Train ride tickets are separate from ramada rental — purchase them on arrival
Bring picnic supplies and a blanket — grass areas and ramadas are available throughout
🎟️Dogs are welcome on the walking trails
🚗The skate park suits teens as playgrounds and splash pads suit younger children

Always a good time. Clean, fun, the park is definitely worth checking out!! Been for a couple different birthday parties.. wish the train ride was included with a Ramada rental!! Maybe future revenue.. the party kids meet other kids on the play ground.. if each Ramada has a coupon code for the party goers.. or 20 tickets.. (maybe 40 for parents too) business school 101 says the best way to market is to give stuff for free.. just an idea.. anyway.. it's a great park.. love the pond, all the sports stuff and the playground is really fun!

My daughter LOVED the train ride!!! My favorite thing about this park is that I do not feel like I'm in Arizona at all. All the gorgeous grass and lakes and fields, and playgrounds are perfect.

Overview

Anthem Community Park covers 63 acres with a layout that reads like a park designed for a full day. The Daisy Mountain Railroad circles the grounds. Splash pads and multi-structure playgrounds serve younger children. Catch-and-release fishing ponds — eight to nine in total — spread across the park. A skate park suits teens. Pickleball and basketball courts, an amphitheatre, and a veterans memorial complete the campus. Paved paths are senior-friendly and pram-accessible throughout.
