i love going here, never thought iβd have the opportunity to play rhythm games so close to my apartment ^_^ super awesome!!!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for older kids and teens aged 10+ who have interest in Japanese rhythm games or classic fighting games β the content and competitive atmosphere skew toward experienced arcade players. Younger children will find the game selection less accessible than a general arcade.

βCool place, small arcade with lots of rhythm games and fighting games. I really like that they have two jubeat machines and I was able to enjoy myself pretty well for just $10. They have a play card machine right when you walk in and it's pretty easy to get one if you're a new comer. The place has a more niche vibe to it for sure. Don't let that scare you though everyone I spoke too was super niceβ

βAs someone with a very sensitive nose, I didnβt think this place smelled bad at all. The AC was blasting and there were a lot of people at 9pm on a Wednesday night. Iβm impressed by the amount and variety of games in a small footprint.β

Overview
Arcade UFO has operated since 2008 as Austin's dedicated Japanese-style game center, importing titles rarely found elsewhere in the US β Beatmania IIDX, Chunithm (x2), Jubeat (x2), Pump It Up XX, and dozens of fighting game classics from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The compact space is maintained in peak condition with strong air conditioning. A play card system is used; machines are at the entrance for easy setup.
