π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 4 and up looking for a low-key skating outing or a birthday party venue. The smaller rink size keeps the environment less overwhelming for young skaters. Birthday party packages include trainer access for kids who need support.

βI was there for my niece's 12th birthday. We were having a wonderful time. I was on the floor skating with her but when I stopped her from falling and getting hurt I fell instead. I broke my left arm just above my wrist. The workers were wonderful and very helpful and kind. I would recommend going to anyone. Thank you for taking care of me when I was hurt.β

βA suggestion would be an adults only learn to skate class or more adult only times. Lots of adults have been getting back into skating over the last few years and rink options tend to be limited with times that donβt involve children who tend not to adhere to rink rules. Also rink is much smaller than others ive been toβ

βThis place should be shut down by the health department. Slices of pizza are served using filthy oven mitts. Embarrassed to have hosted a child's party here! Understaffed, not enough food, wasting time serving a slice at a time and stupid rules that only kids with a wristband can use the trainers that you have to pay extra for! I took all the kids and parents to McDonald's after the party as everyone was hungry.β

Overview
Astro Skate of Pinellas Park runs open skating sessions and private birthday party packages in a neighborhood rink format. Rental skates and beginner training aids (wristband-based access for trainers) are available on-site. The rink is smaller than larger regional facilities, making it a more manageable environment for young children skating for the first time. A food concession and party room round out the venue. Sessions draw a mix of families and youth groups.
