“Wildly they made the center piece of their display LGBTQ at a kids event “the 2026 winter park duck derby” where the average age was definitely was under 4. The center piece of their display with the brightest colors was about being lgbtq and had nothing to do with birds. This is a whole different level of “prey” toward peoples kids. Every other vendor had fun kid oriented stuff like kid’s tools from a builder, FWC had animal bones, etc… what a wild inappropriate display and thanks for letting us know to keep our kids far away.”

Established in 1979, this Maitland center sits along Lake Sybelia between the City of Maitland and the Town of Eatonville. It focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, and public education about Florida's raptors — eagles, owls, hawks, and more.
