1 / 2Birmingham Ice Arena
📍 Birmingham, MI
Birmingham Ice Sports Arena features a regulation-size indoor rink with seating for 550 and a smaller studio arena used for lessons and skating parties. Skate walkers are available for beginners during open skate. Renovation completed November 2021.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with beginner to intermediate skaters - the studio rink for lessons keeps learners separate from the main public session. Grab skate walkers early on weekdays as supply is sparse. The bleacher setup makes it easy for non-skating parents to watch. Closed for maintenance mid-May through mid-June annually.

“Went for open skate midday on a Saturday and there were quite a few people, but it was a nice and clean rink. All of the little walkers for beginner skaters were taken by the time my beginner friend got there, so be sure to get there a little early to get one.”
