I was so excited when I saw that Boulder Union was building out in downtown New Bedford. Since their doors opened, I have not been disappointed! The owners, staff, and climbing community are all wonderful. The walls are rerouted frequently enough to keep things interesting, but allow for repeated attempts at trickier problems over a couple weeks. The space is clean, and one of the most unique and beautiful gyms I have ever climbed in. I always use the workout area too, and it has everything I would want in a gym. Thank you for being awesome!

Best for families with kids aged 5 and up who are comfortable with physical challenge and heights. The Saturday morning kids session is the easiest entry point for first-timers. Bouldering has no harnesses or ropes — falls land on thick matting, and staff can advise on age-appropriate problems.

“Drive down from Boston to check it out and it was sooo worth it. The climbs are fun, challenging and make you think. No boring ladders here. Lots of variety. Staff were v helpful. Location is central and the old bank space is super cool. Best exclusive boulder gym I’ve been to”
