We absolutely love visiting this farm β€” it’s one of our favorite places to take the kids for field trips! Every visit is magical for them. The variety and cuteness of the animals is truly above and beyond, and the children get so excited feeding them with the little buckets. The bridges for the goats are such a fun touch β€” the kids can’t stop laughing when the goats walk right above their heads! Pumpkin picking is always a highlight, and the play areas are perfect for little ones β€” especially the adorable tiny houses where they can play and pretend. It’s such a warm, family-friendly place that makes every visit feel special. Highly recommend for anyone with children β€” it’s a beautiful experience every single time!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for toddlers and preschoolers who respond strongly to hands-on animal contact. The carrot bucket feeding is the clear highlight β€” animals are engaged and come readily to the fence. Families with kids under 6 get the most from the train and animal areas; older children may exhaust the attractions faster.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Purchase carrot buckets at the entrance for the animal feeding β€” it's the core experience
⏰The Moo Moo Choo Choo train is short and well-sized for toddlers aged 2-4
🎟️Stick to the newer playground section β€” it's notably better maintained than older areas
πŸš—Bring hand sanitizer for post-feeding cleanup

β€œIt’s a great farm to take kids. Reasonable prices, great location, with more than enough farm animals. We grabbed couple of buckets of carrots, kids enjoyed feeding various animals, as well as tractor ride and train ride. Very nice and sizeable kids playground with lots of activities and lots of kids. Plenty of free parking.”

β€œVery cute place to take little kids! The buckets of carrot chips are fun to feed the animals, train ride was just enough for a 2 year old, my granddaughter had a blast! Will definitely go back, not expensive at all and fun to spend a few quick hours outside on a nice day! Staff was very sweet as well”

β€œBrookhollow’s Barnyard is a cute experience for the family (especially if you have kids). There are several different animals to feed (goats, alpacas, cattle, horse and a zebra). There’s a little tractor ride however, don’t expect to see anything scenic or interesting. If you keep your expectations low it’s a just a nice little joyride. Also heads up, skip the lemonade if you like fresh squeezed lemonade. It’s made from powder and very watered down. Overall, it’s a cute little day trip. We felt it was pretty easy going but have definitely enjoyed visiting other farms that felt more informative about the animals and or the lifestyle.”
