1 / 2Camp Jurassic
📍 Southwest Orlando, FL
Camp Jurassic is an interactive kids' zone inside Islands of Adventure with climbing structures, water cannons, amber-lit caves, and a Pteranodon Flyers ride — one of Universal's most elaborate themed play areas.
Spend the majority of the morning here. I think we took our son on every attraction. Definitely a good time. We all had a blast.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3–10 who want unstructured exploration time inside a theme park. The free-roam play structures need no queue. Pteranodon Flyers is worth riding if the wait is under 30 minutes — skip it if the line stretches beyond that, as it has no standby alternative.

“Half of the park area was closed. We were so sad becuase the kids wanted to play on it. The flyers ride in there to was a 60 min wait for 80 secs of flying around camp jurassic and NO FAST PASS LANE. Very disappointed 😞”

Overview
Camp Jurassic sits within Jurassic World at Islands of Adventure and functions as both an attraction zone and free-roaming play area. Kids can explore multi-level rope bridges, amber caves, water cannons, and discovery trails without queuing. The Pteranodon Flyers ride suspends riders over the area for a bird's-eye view and has no Lightning Lane option and attracts long waits relative to its short ride duration. Reviewers with young children consistently call it a highlight of the park.
