Best for toddlers and kids up to age 8 who respond to hands-on animal encounters over large passive displays. The stingray and doctor fish areas are the most popular with young visitors. Birthday party groups receive dedicated handler attention with live animals.

βWe attended 4/18 for a 1 year old birthday party and I wanted to give a special shoutout to the amazing staff and animal handlers at the aquarium. My 2 year old was very hands on and enthusiastic about the lizard we were privileged to observe and experience during the party. The handler for βMaryβ was extremely good with her and had the patience of a saint. This was our first experience at the Childrenβs Aquarium of Dallas and we will certainly be back all because of how educational, patient, and enthusiastic the staff were with the children. My daughter ended up βvolunteeringβ to assist the handler during the experience and her willingness to include her and make her feel special when it wasnβt even her birthday π was so sweet. It is such a breath of fresh air and I really want them to know how much I appreciate their effort and time.β

βThis aquarium is on the smaller side. We saw everything in an hour. The most popular was the doctor fish and the stingray. Staff was friendly and helpful.β

βTook my kindergarten class to the Childrenβs Aquarium in Dallas and it was a huge disappointment. It felt way over capacityβcrowded, chaotic, and no clear structure. Kids were just running around with little space to actually explore or enjoy anything. For the price, thereβs honestly not much to do. Having to take students across the street to use the restroom was the final straw. It felt poorly managed and completely overwhelming for a field trip. Sadly, it was a waste of money and not an experience I would repeatβeither with students or on my own time.β
