I love this children’s museum! It is clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly! This is a very nice location, you can easily walk to a nearby food place or library if you wanted to take the kids on an adventure!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 1 to 8. The rotating themed weeks reward repeat visits throughout the year. Friday Family Nights are a strong pick for families who want an evening format with food on-site. Avoid visiting during large field trip arrivals — reviewers groups of 80+ children can overwhelm the space for independent visitors.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Check the events calendar before visiting — themed weeks and Friday Family Nights require separate tickets
Call ahead on days when school field trips are scheduled to avoid crowded conditions
🎟️The downtown location is walkable to cafes and the public library — plan a full afternoon outing
🚗Friday Family Night admission is separate from daytime entry — the museum closes briefly between sessions

We have been coming to this children’s museum for years. Our last visit was awful. We arrived and within a few minutes of being there a field trip of 86 kids arrived. Our daughter was no longer able to play as the entire museum was take over by much bigger kids. They also would not allow her to eat in the snack rooms because they were reserved for the field trip although they were empty at that time. Our trip was cut very short and honestly feel like we should be given a refund for that day. Also think she’s should post announcements on facebook or on the website when they will be hosting field trips or other large groups to help everyone be prepared.
