1 / 2Children's Museum of Branch County
π Coldwater, MI
Children's Museum of Branch County occupies a downtown Coldwater space with STEAM-based interactive exhibits, hands-on play areas, rotating classes, and seasonal events. A new climbing structure is in development.
My granddaughter had so much fun. I had fun watching her and interacting with. We will definitely be back. The staff was very interacting with the adults and the kids.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 1β10 in the Coldwater area or passing through southwest Michigan. Toddlers aged 1β4 get the most out of the hands-on exhibit areas, and the upcoming climbing structure will add another draw for active kids. The extended Wednesday and Thursday evening hours make weekday visits possible for working families.

βHonestly really disappointed in how my family was treated yesterday when I brought my 2 year old daughter to meet the Easter bunny. The meet and greet did end at 2pm started at 11am and we got there at 1pm so worse case we wanted to check it out see if we wanted to bring our daughter there regularly, well as soon as it was my families turn to get into the museum I told the lady we were here to see the bunny immediately became rude and dismissive saying how theres 42 people ahead of me so the chances of us seeing the bunny were low, supposedly, didn't see a line or anything but this was my first time at the museum so maybe that was possible but when we wanted to play while we waited she stated that everyone in my party had to pay mind you its just my child's father, our mom's and his almost 18 yr old sister. The adults were not playing just my two year old. What I found most odd is there was a family of 3 kids and 2 adults in front of us and they paid only $15 to be able to come into the museum yet I wouldve had to pay about $35 because the website actually says $6 admission and if we had to pay thats fine but I find it morally wrong to charge a family per kid and then take one look at my family and immediately make my family feel like we weren't welcome in your children's museum and become dismissive. I understand this won't mean anything to anyone but life is unpredictable with a 2 year old and the fact that my little girl couldnt do this because we don't look like the brady bunch after I tried to get her the cutest outfit and do her hair makes me sad that even in a small town like coldwater people are so judgemental. Maybe she wasn't rude because of our looks (honestly we are well kept individuals that shower reguarly we're just a bigger size family) but it was how she made me and my family feel that gave us this impression why else would we get a different experience then the family in front of us and I could've been rude but I tried so hard just to get there and to be dismissed like that we just left there was no point in going back and forth with someone.β
