🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children aged 0–9, with targeted programming for every age band from infants through early elementary. The Bloom area makes it one of Denver's strongest options for families with children under 2. Visitors who come on weekdays report less crowding and more space to explore each exhibit fully.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Tickets are only sold at the door — no online purchase option, so budget extra arrival time on busy days.
The Bloom area is specifically designed for children under 2 — ask staff to point you there first if you have a toddler.
🎟️Adventure Forest and Joy Park River open for the season on May 6 — plan a spring or summer visit to access the outdoor spaces.
🚗Free on-site parking is available — a genuine rarity for a museum this close to downtown Denver.

Went with my wife and son for the first time. My son is 15 months old and the last time I took him to a children's museum North of Denver he was too anxious to play but he warmed up to this one really fast and enjoyed the Bloom area for younger kids. Very good atmosphere that kept him from being overstimulated and anxious.

My 7yo daughter loved this place. She liked it so much we went two days in a row on our trip. An amazing children's museum. Great that you are not charged for parking in downtown Denver. It is really really hands on. Great for kids who are inquisitive and persistent. Even when busy very nice because parents are engaged. Her fav spot was the arr studio.
