This gym is awesome! While not the biggest gym, there is a surprising variety of routes and boulders. The route-setting is creative and really good, we spent 3 hours there with still a ton of stuff that we could try. The top-route routes have a good challenge level which makes them engaging for the whole climb, not just a few hard sections connected by jugs like you get at gyms with taller walls. They also appear to change the route often, so it does not get stale! Definitely has charm and avoids the sterile vibe of a big commercial gym. Will definitely be going back!!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

A strong pick for families in the Eastern Panhandle looking for an active outing that scales to multiple skill levels. Auto-belays mean a child and parent can climb simultaneously without needing a second adult to belay. The weekday afternoon and evening hours suit after-school visits; weekends open earlier for daytime family sessions.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Auto-belays let solo climbers or unsupervised kids tackle top rope walls — no belay partner required for those sections
Complete belay certification during a quieter weekday session rather than a busy weekend
🎟️Book Scout, school, or party groups in advance as the space fills for organized events
🚗Rental shoes and harnesses are available on-site — no need to own gear before your first visit

Hidden gem up here. Came up here for work so I didn’t think to bring any of my stuff, wasnt expecting to have a place to climb. Rental shoes and rental harness it was but I witnessed the owner personally changing boulder and top rope routes every time I went to keep it fresh. Employees were super friendly, routes were fun and well thought out, plenty for beginners, intermediate, and competitors alike.

I’ve really enjoyed coming to the gym and taking lessons with Collin! Everyone, staff and clientele, have been very friendly. The staff has been helpful and knowledgeable on the gym and climbing. The facility is always clean and tidy making for a very comfortable environment. Routes are regularly re-set providing consistent new challenges. Looking forward to more sessions!
