1 / 2de Burgos (Julia) Park
📍 Logan Square, IL
A compact Chicago park anchoring The 606 trail with a rope spider web, central trampoline, butterfly climber, and fiberglass spider sculpture on cushioned rubber surfacing. Free entry, all ages.
A nice, clean, easily accessible park with good seating, shade, and a bicycle rack. It was easy to get to from the trail, and a nice turnaround or break point if needed.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age kids who prefer climbing challenges over swings and slides. The rope web and trampoline center suit confident climbers aged 5 and up. Toddlers can explore the smaller fiberglass spider with supervision. Pairs naturally with a 606 trail ride — lock up bikes at the racks and let kids burn energy before rolling on.

“Great little park of 606 Trail. Great climbing structures, no swings or slides. Some open green space, water fountains, cool spot”

“This is a cute little Park that is off the Beaten Track. In the middle of the park is a spider web-like structure with a small trampoline in the middle. I have seen children and adults alike using this as their playground. Thankfully the ground underneath is a cushioned rubbery surface so anyone who may tumble out of this is not likely to get hurt. There also is a small climbing structure that can be very popular at times. During the week this part is not that crowded, acid is mostly used by locals in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there is now an entrance and exit to the 606 Bloomingdale trail, so a lot of runners, walkers, bicyclists and disrespectful pet owners have discovered it. If you want to enjoy the park come during the week, forget about the weekends as it is overrun with too many people who do not respect or clean up after themselves or their pets.”

“This is a great little stop for young people who love to climb. There are only three objects in the playground; a rope spider with a trampoline in the center, a plastic butterfly for climbing and a shallow fiberglass spider. It's good that there are water fountains, especially if you choose to walk the 606. Not the best for young people who have short legs and limited mobility. There are often, but not always, teens hanging out there relaxing, discussing inappropriate content for younger children.”

Overview
de Burgos Park delivers three distinct climbing structures — a rope spider web with a center trampoline, a plastic butterfly climber, and a shallow fiberglass spider — on rubberized cushioned ground. Community art workshops shaped the nature-themed seating wall. Direct access to The 606 elevated trail, water fountains, and bicycle racks round out the site.
