Take Flight at the Jet Plane Playground: Budding pilots will love soaring through the clouds on the iconic jet plane structure. Complete with wings, cockpit, and slide, this playground ignites imaginations and inspires dreams of taking to the skies. A Place to Honor Heroes: Del Valle Park also holds a special place for remembering our fallen soldiers. The Veterans Memorial Wall serves as a poignant tribute to those who served our country, offering a space for quiet reflection and gratitude. Finally, May our next generation grow up in a peaceful environment. May our soldiers receive the highest honors.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

A distinctive playground destination for families with children aged 4-12 who respond to imaginative themes — the jet and aviation elements give the space a story that standard playgrounds lack. The separate age zones and wheelchair-accessible structures make it inclusive for different family configurations.

“This park is great for kids to get their wiggles out! They have so many neat things to climb! The choices are endless. My son is 4 and had no problem getting around, although the recommended age for this playground is 5-12. This is our second time here and he is having a blast. Lots of parking is available and the bathrooms are located right next to the play area. Lots of squirrels to observe and a great place to bring the dogs for a walk. 10/10 best park I have ever been too!”

“This is our favorite summer park for our grandchildren. The playground is full of climbing opportunities, the structure is wheelchair accessible too. The airplane theme allows my grandchildren to fly us anywhere in the world of imagination. In the summer, the wading pool is open MWF at 11 am. We come at least once a week to cool off and enjoy the shady areas.”

“Nice park with historical significance. Separate areas for very young children and older children. Fun airport theme.”

Overview

Del Valle Park anchors its aviation theme around a real Douglas F3D Skyknight jet fighter at the entrance, with the playground carrying the theme through runway stripe ground markings, control tower climbing structures, and cockpit-style elements. Separate zones serve younger children with sand and shaded areas, and older kids with more complex climbing structures. The 12-acre grounds include picnic shelters with barbecues, athletic fields, and accessible paths throughout.
