1 / 2Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
📍 Bay Lake, FL
Blizzard Beach is a 66-acre Disney water park in Bay Lake, FL, themed as a melting ski resort. It features Summit Plummet — one of the world's tallest free-fall water slides — a lazy river, wave pool, and dedicated Tike's Peak area for toddlers.
Great landscaping - feels like a tropical paradise. Kids loved it.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with a range of ages — toddlers use Tike's Peak, school-age kids tackle mid-intensity tube slides, and teens and adults take on Summit Plummet. The lazy river and wave pool work for everyone together. Families with exclusively under-5s may find fewer attractions than at Typhoon Lagoon's younger-guest zones.

Don’t worry About it
“Been here so many times it’s laid back and enjoyable. This particular time I came with my 3 girls and my wife. And the 2 13 year olds decided to leave the lazy river at a different exit point then instructed and after an hour once my wife and were in full panic mode an employee approached us and said oh I believe you are looking for children and I asked why she would ask that (I’m naturally cautious) and she said well we have 3 children who said their mother was in a Michael Jackson shirt and I said thank god! But they were so kind, polite and great in identifying the children were lost and locating us!”

“It was so clean and had sufficient staffing. Rides were great for all ages and water temp was nice in late April. Complimentary towels and affordable lockers. Adult drinks were pricey. Food was good. This blew our experience at aquatica out of the water because everyone acted appropriately and there were enough staff to control any issues would they have arisen. The ski lift was a pretty smooth ride, which was also nice. The only small thing I would say was about the infamous pineapple dole whip. It was not at the warm hut as it said, and in fact, they didn’t have pineapple at all, and it was at the ice cream place and in very small print as it was an ingredient in a couple of options and in strawberry only. Since it’s so popular, a little clearer information on that would be nice because it’s a lot of walking ha ha to find some dole whip. Also, the lazy river is a lot of fun and we enjoyed the wave pool. I like that rapid slide as well. I feel like it’s great for many ages.”

Overview
Blizzard Beach delivers Disney production values to the water park format: immaculate grounds, well-placed lifeguards, and a ski-resort theming carried through every ride name and queue. Summit Plummet drops riders 120 feet at up to 60 mph — strictly for thrill-seekers. The lazy river (Cross Country Creek) loops the entire park. Tike's Peak gives toddlers their own scaled-down slide area. Complimentary towels are included, and lockers are available at an additional cost.
