1 / 3East Broad Top Railroad
π Rockhill, NY
National Historic Landmark in central Pennsylvania offering scenic train rides on America's oldest narrow gauge railroad plus guided tours of a belt-driven machine shop and roundhouse.
Coming from an Indiana Hoosier, my two day tour of the East Broad Top Railroad was GREAT! On the hostling tour and train excursion Friday, I was very pleased and happy of the knowledge I learned. BLAIR of Visitor Services/Tour Guide was very helpful in answering every question with accuracy! He did a fantastic job! I highly recommend him leading tours in the future! He was very friendly with the crew and gave really solid knowledge of the railroad while I was there! Trust me. You want to learn about EBTRR, go to that guy!!ππΊπΈ

Best for families with school-age children and older who have a genuine interest in trains, industrial history, or American heritage. Volunteer guides like Blair and Ray bring deep knowledge and enthusiasm that rewards curious kids and adults equally. The combination of a scenic ride and working shop tour fills a full half-day.

βAwesome short line and lots of history to boot. Loved the shop tour and will definitely be back for the trolley tour and rides. It's fantastic that the area has been preserved so very well. Very reminiscent of riding the OC&T back home.β
