I celebrated my 44th birthday on April 11th at the Epperson Lagoon… My family and I had the best time. We rented a Cabana in the Cabana Cove section… The staff was phenomenal especially Brittani, Arie, Samantha, and a few others were phenomenal very attentive in the Cabana Cove Section. We were VIP and they made sure we felt that! We will for sure be back agin as this experience was top tier!! Thank you for making my day very special!

Best for families with kids aged 5 and up who are comfortable in open water. The obstacle course and inflatable slide suit school-age children most. Cabana rentals are worth booking for full-day visits with young children who need a shaded base. Non-swimmers should stay in the shallow beach entry zones.

“Upon arrival at opening the inflatable obstacle course was visibly covered in goose droppings. This created an unsanitary condition on an attraction where guests are expected to climb, sit, and play directly on the surface. When I asked a lifeguard about the sanitation of the inflatables, she responded, “we didn’t get a chance to clean it,” which was concerning given the obvious hygiene and health risks. In addition, we were not informed prior to purchasing tickets that certain attractions—including the kayaks—were closed. These were activities we expected to be available when we paid for admission. Discovering after arrival that key attractions were unavailable significantly diminished the experience and the value of the tickets we purchased. As paying guests, we expected a clean and safe environment and clear communication regarding attraction availability. Unfortunately, neither expectation was met during our visit.”

Overview
Epperson Lagoon is a man-made crystal lagoon spanning seven acres with a sandy beach perimeter in Wesley Chapel, north of Tampa. Water activities range from motorized bumper boats and kayaking to a floating obstacle course and a large inflatable slide. Beach volleyball courts and shaded tiki areas sit along the shoreline. The Reef Café serves food and the Fins Beach Bar operates alongside it. Cabana Cove offers private rentals with chairside service.
