Essex County Safari MiniGolf
π West Orange, NY
A 19-hole safari-themed mini golf course featuring life-size African animal sculptures including gorillas and hippos. Popular with families for its varied hole designs and outdoor adventure.
It was a great day, there was a crowd but we were actually last so we were able to take our time and enjoy without feeling rushed. We also were able to space ourselves far enough from anyone else who was playing. The sun was out shining so it was very pleasant. Will definitely come back in the summer when they clean the fountains. Great course for kids. β³
π Family Action Verdict
This is a solid mini golf destination for families with children who enjoy animal-themed courses and varied hole designs. Best visited on weekdays when it's less crowded, though parents should expect basic amenities and some maintenance issues like leaves on courses. Great for a fun outdoor activity but don't expect premium facilities.

βSecond time I've visited, it was very fun! However finding holes 12-14 aren't made very obvious, although I suppose it's not supposed to be obvious since that's in the second half of the course. The animal structures were also cute to look at, I included the photos I took of them.β

βAmazing mini golf! The course is fun and very well designed! We had a great time playing golf, and it wasnβt very crowded towards closing time on a week day. Essex county safari mini golf is probably my favorite course in the area! Itβs a must visit spot!β

βWe were here on Friday afternoon, there were not many people. There are enough parking spaces. The staff is polite. Lots of greenery and interesting sculptures. The atmosphere is wonderful. There are benches with umbrellas to rest and have a snack. What we did not like is the dirty fields, they are all in leaves, dry grass and even in places where they are covered with earth. There is no toilet paper in the toilet. But overall the place is good, it just needs to be looked after better.β
