1 / 2FLG X Adventure Course - New Jersey
π Roxbury Township, NY
FLG X Adventure Course features five progressively difficult tree-top obstacle levels and 30 ziplines in an outdoor New Jersey setting. Self-guided after an initial safety briefing, with course difficulty rising sharply at the Black level.
This is just an awesome place! It is a self guided adventure through the trees. There are five levels of courses on the Adventure side and 30 ziplines. But if you are a ziplone fan don't worry there are still 9 zip lines on the adventure course option. After gearing up and watching a safety video you set out in the course. You start with the lower and easier levels and make your way up. You are always clipped in and can't drop below waist level, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of elements to get your nerves reminding you that you are alive. The higher you go the further apart and less stable your obstacles are. The top is 80 to 100 feet up, and even though you know that you are clipped in wobbling on a series of log swings is compelling. The guide explained that the higher the difficulty level the higher you are in the trees and the more upper body strength and balance you need to complete the course. I went with my daughter and we made it through the first four (through the res course), but we didn't attempt the black. I would definitely recommend using gloves. They have their gloves that are for sale it they recommend fingerless gloves. I would recommend thin work gloves. I worn fingerless workout gloves and still ended up with blisters. You send most of the time wolding onto metal cables and ropes, which are tough on the skin. Lots of fun, a great workout, I highly recommend it.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for active families with older kids and teens aged 9 and up who want a serious outdoor physical challenge. The five-level structure lets family members tackle different difficulty tiers at their own pace, so mixed-ability groups can remains participate together. Guides are entertaining and knowledgeable.

βThis place is amazing! The guides start with instructions, and every level is really fun. I completed all the courses, and in my experience, the difficulty spikes once you get to the Black Course β but itβs absolutely worth it! The further you go, the more upper body strength youβll need to finish the challenges. At the end, completing the Black Course even earns you a special Black Course Finisher wristband.β

βThis was my first tree top experience and it did Not disappoint. I went through all the courses and led our 30 person party. It was an epic time and Jules our "Guide guide guide!" was quite funny and helpful. She loves her job and you can tell! What an epic adventure!!β

FLG X Adventure Course runs five tree-top challenge levels of increasing difficulty plus a dedicated zipline track with 30 lines. After gearing up and watching a safety video, groups are self-guided through progressively harder obstacles. The Adventure side also includes 9 ziplines.
