1 / 2Flyer Thrill Zone & 7D Experience
📍 Fisherman's Wharf, CA
The Flyer Thrill Zone at Pier 39 combines a two-level flying theater (40-inch height minimum) soaring over San Francisco landmarks with a 7D interactive theater, laser challenge room, VR, and escape rooms in one compact venue.
Display quality was poor however i liked it. It gives you a quick 360 degree view into SF in fact i think perhaps travellers may want to do this first so they know what to check on their todo list :)
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5 and up who meet the 40-inch height requirement. The laser challenge room has no height restriction and works well for younger children and mixed-age groups. The venue is compact and weather-independent — a strong rainy-day option in San Francisco.

“My daughters and I just went to the laser room and had so much fun! The manager was so kind to my daughters. We'll definitely come back many times!!!! Kids can compete against each other or as a team to evade lasers or to touch as many as they can. It's hidden in the end of Pier 39, we'll worth it!”

“Don’t waste your money on flyover. It was so blurry, it ruined the whole thing. The staff was nice though.”

Overview
The Flyer is Northern California's only flying theater, suspending guests on a two-level platform with screens and motion effects simulating flight over the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and San Francisco landmarks. The newest show, T-Rex Safari, adds a Jurassic-themed film option. The laser challenge room — tucked at the end of Pier 39 — earns strong reviews from families, with kids competing solo or as teams. The 7D theater, VR experiences, and escape rooms round out the venue.
