Giraffe Ranch in Dade City, FL is a 47-acre private wildlife preserve offering guided safari tours by 4WD vehicle, drive-thru, camel-back, or Segway. Over 600 animals on-site including giraffes, zebras, tapir, and pygmy hippos.
We did the drive thru with the owner/guide talking to us on an FM radio frequency. Lots of different animals! We spotted a fawn that appeared to be in distress. The guide picked her up immediately and had staff members take her to the clinic for care. The compound is well cared for and all the animals appear healthy and happy. The gentleman/owner is passionate about what they do and was very knowledgeable about the animals and Florida history. The giraffes were animated and appeared to enjoy interacting with us humans.

Best for families with kids ages 3 and up. The standard vehicle safari suits all ages; camel tours require riders ages 3 and older. Segway tours are for ages 14 and up.
