Glazer Children's Museum
📍 Downtown, FL
Glazer Children's Museum spans 35,000 sq ft in downtown Tampa with exhibits covering building, water science, pretend play, and a two-story Water's Journey climbing structure. Babies under age 1 enter free.
We went to Glazer Children’s Museum thinking we’d stay for an hour… and ended up losing track of time because there’s always another interactive station pulling you in. The exhibits are set up to turn curiosity into movement—kids can build, pretend-play, and climb (the two-story Water’s Journey Climber is a highlight), which makes it perfect when you want them engaged and burning energy in a positive way. What I love most is that it’s not “screens and buttons”—it’s imaginative, tactile learning that gives parents a ton of natural moments to teach and connect without forcing it.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Ranked nationally in the top 10 children's museums, this is a go-to destination for families with children from infancy through early elementary school. Babies under 1 are free. The interactive format rewards repeat visits as kids grow into different exhibit areas. Downtown Tampa location pairs well with waterfront dining before or after.
