1 / 2Grant Park Playground 2
đ South Milwaukee, WI
Grant Park Playground 2 is a more secluded option within Grant Park, South Milwaukee, featuring monkey bars, a tall slide, swings, and upper-body play equipment with scenic lake views.
I think the best part about this park is the lake view. However there are some other nice aspects as well: It's a bit more off the beaten path than the other playground in Grant Park; The play equipment has a good variety of upper body stuff which isn't as common as you would expect; when the leaves are still on the trees, it's got a lot of great shade. The area around the play structure and swings is sand - not my favorite, and probably the biggest reason we don't come here more, aside from my kids liking other options more. Overall though this is a solid little park, will definitely be coming back.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for kids ages 4â10 who are ready for monkey bars and more physical play challenges. The upper-body equipment variety appeals to kids who have outgrown purely toddler-scale gear. The secluded setting means fewer crowds. One- and two-year-olds can use the accessible ramp, per reviewer accounts, making it usable across a sibling age range.

âSmall secluded playground. The equipment could be upgraded. The kids had fun.â

âThis is a fun playground. It is good for little kids with lots of stand and play activities. My one and two year old could run up the handicap accessible ramp. My oldest boys (7yo&8yo) liked the monkey bars, tall slide, and swings. This playground very badly needs to be cleaned and painted. Lots of mold/growths of some sort, on some of the activities. Lots of garbage laying around and faded paint. Has potential to be 5 stars!â

Overview
Grant Park Playground 2 sits further into the park than its counterpart, giving it a quieter, more off-the-beaten-path character. Equipment leans toward upper-body challenges â monkey bars and a tall slide stand out alongside standard swings. Reviewers note the variety of climbing and grip-strength apparatus is less common than in typical playgrounds. The lake view from this section of the park adds a scenic bonus.
