1 / 3Great Lakes Aquarium
π Canal Park, MN
The only freshwater-focused aquarium in the US, featuring Great Lakes fish species, playful river otters, a raven exhibit, land-dwelling animals, and daily interactive fish feedings. Located on Duluth's waterfront at Harbor Drive.
What a great time! We all enjoyed the experience and canβt wait for the next visit.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age children and curious younger kids who respond to live animals. The river otters and raven are the standout draws for children, and the feeding sessions provide a structured activity anchor for visits. The freshwater focus is genuinely educational and distinct from ocean-based aquariums most families have already visited.

βCool aquarium. No really big stuff like dolphins or whales. No penguins either. The river otters were super cute. They also have some land dwelling animals and birds. The crow was actually super entertaining.β

βIt was pretty quiet because it was a weekday. Got to feed the fish and talk back to the Raven. Beautiful fish tanks! Nice gift shop.β
