🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for San Fernando Valley families who want a beach feel without the coastal drive. Children of all ages find something here — younger kids gravitate to the shallows and sandbox zones, older kids to the slides and volleyball. Bring full shade equipment as the facility offers almost none. Picnic gear, grills, and outside food are all welcome.

“It's a bit surreal like a pool and beach in one with lifeguards and posts. There's also a big slide but that was closed near the end of september. I couldn't bring fins or snorkle gear for lap swimming, but if you go into the back there's ample space for lap swimming.”

“Sometimes this place feels better than the beach. Much closer if you are a north valley resident. The sand is clean and you don’t have to deal with the flies and smell of the ocean”

“We came here on Labor Day. It’s a huge pool with a grassy area, sandy beach area, and mostly pool deck area, all with very little shade. Bring your own umbrellas and beach shade, beach blankets and chairs. Picnics are allowed, and food trucks and ice cream vendors are also there to serve. Lots of single clean bathrooms and single changing rooms with doors, plus about 10 showers, all pretty clean, even on a crowded day. People were nice, kids behaved, and everyone had a good time. Lots of lifeguards on duty, in towers, on the decks, and in the water. I was impressed by how well they patrolled the pool! Parking is free and plentiful, though you may have to park in one of the satellite lots on a crowded day. The furthest you’d have to walk is about 5-7 minutes. This is like going to the beach w/o the long drive or the long wait for parking. It was great!”

Overview
The pool complex mimics a beach layout with distinct sandy, grassy, and pool-deck zones. Water slides operate with height and age restrictions. Pedal boat rentals are available on weekends. Volleyball courts and fishing areas add to the activity spread. Food trucks and ice cream vendors attend on busy days alongside picnics. Parking is free and satellite lots fill up on peak days. Seniors and children both qualify for the reduced admission rate.
