“On New Year’s Eve, I took the train from South New Jersey to Penn Station NY. Around 5:00 AM, I started my walking exercise in NYC. I walked on 7th Ave to glimpse at the ball in Times Square. I walked across to 5th Ave to see the Tree at Rockefeller Center. Enter St Patrick’s Cathedral around 6:35 AM to clear my conscience. I continued to walk on 5th Ave admiring the creative window display at Bergdorf Goodman. I walked to Central Park West and 59th St to take the subway to Fordham Rd/E 188th St. The Botanical Gardens opens at 10:00 AM, I had plenty of time to walk on Arthur’s Ave to enjoy the Little Italy charm. I bought a prosciutto loaf and a large cannoli to take to the Botanical Gardens. Enjoyed warm coffee and the activity inside the Madonia Bakery. Fueled with caffeine, I walked to the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. I entered the Holiday Train Show around 10:00 AM. The creative energy, detail and hard work on the Holiday Train Show display was beyond my expectations. I sat on a Botanical Garden bench to enjoy my cannoli, pleased with myself for starting the day early and walking in the cold weather mid 20’s but felt like 16 F. I returned to Arthur Ave for a lasagna lunch at Mario’s and more pastries (lobster tail pastry and ricotta cheesecake)before returning to South Jersey. Vhuntermassage LLC”

“The Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden is absolutely incredible and well worth the visit. The level of detail and craftsmanship that goes into this exhibit is impressive. The trains travel through beautifully recreated New York landmarks, all built from natural materials like bark, leaves, and twigs, which makes it even more impressive up close. It does get very busy, especially during peak holiday times, so expect large crowds and a lively atmosphere. That said, everything is well organized, and there is plenty to see no matter where you look. Both kids and adults can easily spend a lot of time walking through and taking it all in. The entire experience really puts you in the holiday spirit, especially when combined with the surrounding gardens and festive decorations. There are endless photo opportunities, and it’s clear how much care and effort goes into making this event special every year. Overall, it’s a must-see holiday tradition in New York. Just plan ahead, be prepared for crowds, and take your time enjoying all the details. It’s a memorable experience and one that’s easy to see why people come back year after year.”

“My son loves trains and when I heard about the holiday train show I decided to check it out. There's a little outdoor train display which is cute for young babies on the warmer days but the real prize is inside. Theres several display areas that are beautifully decorated for the holidays. It really was a site to behold, my son loved it. Just to keep in mind that a lot of the trains are not enclosed enough to keep an intrigued toddler away. So for a younger toddler just be prepared to be a little more hands on running after them and keeping them from touching things. Other than that it's something you should go see if you have time or nearby.”
