Great park to take your dog and go run around all over go to the river bed ride your bike with your dog Rhodesian Ridgeback! Good boy Redskin‼️💯
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with dogs who also want playground and trail access in a single stop. The horse encounters are a genuine bonus that younger children find memorable. Active families can chain a trail ride with park time and a dog run without moving the car.

“Is a good park. You can run along the LA River, it has plenty open and grassy space, it has a enclosed dog park. And if you are lucky, you may get to horses since some people take them there to do their walks and tricks. You may also get to see wild rabbits. It has good parking space. The the park is good overall.”

Overview
Hollydale Regional Park in South Gate connects directly to the LA River Trail via large parking lots on both sides of the facility, making it a practical cycling and jogging trailhead. Two enclosed dog areas — one for large breeds, one for small — operate within the park. Playground equipment is located close to clean restrooms. Friendly equestrians regularly pass through and have been known to stop for free petting sessions and photos. Watch for gopher holes in the open playing fields.
