1 / 2Imagination Station - Garden City
π Garden City, MI
Imagination Station (ITAVA) in Garden City offers hands-on learning through creative arts, sensory exploration, imaginative role-play, and cognitive challenges. Reviewers report kids spending up to five hours exploring the multi-room layout.
A very unique and engaging play space. My kids usually last 90 minutes at an indoor playground but we spent literally 5 hours here. So many different areas to explore. The staff was all very friendly and they worked tirelessly to reset each area throughout the day so it would be fresh for the next kids to explore it. Limited snacks and drinks available but what they did have was reasonably priced. Well worth the admission fee.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for curious kids ages 1β8 who thrive in open-ended, screen-free environments. The multi-room layout means different ages can self-select activities at their own pace. Check the venue's Instagram or website before visiting β the main room is occasionally blocked for private parties without advance online notice.

βWe love imagination station itβs such a creative space for kids to play with so much to do, we come very frequently but I do have to say I was a little disappointed that I came today on a Sunday and they never posted on their instagram or website their main room was blocked off for a party, I honestly wouldnβt have came today if I did know and my kids seen we were at the play place I would of felt bad to walk out. What was offered was to go to the workshop or outside for the same cost without the main room - I think thatβs a bit unfair with pricing to be same especially the weather was cold and was sprinkling today so the kids wouldnβt be outside the full 2 hours. The lady in the front was super nice about it saying she was trying to get the outdoor/workshop discounted since main room was blocked off which is the main attraction for kids but the manager didnβt want to do that. Needless to say I think they should utilize their socials for stuff like this because I definitely checked it before taking the kids today. I know other play places post that their Sundays are booked for parties. I did book for the infant room which is amazing too just lower in price I felt like it was worth it for the 2 hours if I couldnβt go to the main room and I did run into Doha, she was staff there and so sweet and kind to my girls. She kept the room spotless always so the kids have an organized place to play. I really enjoyed her presence and how kind she was to us!!β

βJust posting as a fair warning.. I had three very sad and disappointed kiddos today! We booked & paid for open play from 11-8pm and when arriving about 3pm after my youngest kiddos nap we were informed they were actually closed for a private party, but that we could use their outdoor area (it was 40 degrees and very windy outside). I donβt typically post reviews but I would hate for other kiddos to be as let down as my kids were today, maybe try to call ahead or plan to not go on popular party days to avoid this. The employee there at the time was nice and understanding why we were so frustrated and disappointed but she did mention she had no idea why the website even allowed me to book and pay when they were closed for a party! There were a handful of other families with sad kids being turned away as well! I just wish that booking wouldnβt have allowed this or we had received a phone call or email regarding their early closure!β

Overview
ITAVA Imagination Station goes well beyond a standard indoor playground. Multiple distinct rooms cover creative arts with hands-on projects, open-ended role-play scenarios, sensory exploration stations, and puzzle-based cognitive challenges. Staff actively reset each area throughout the day to keep experiences fresh. One reviewer logged a five-hour visit with young children who never ran out of things to do.
