Awesome playground. The kids love it. Musical instruments and zip lines. Many options. Walking trails also.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children of varying abilities who need a fully accessible outdoor play space. The zip lines and musical instruments engage kids who may not access traditional climbing equipment. Works well for mixed-age sibling groups up to about age 12.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Paved trails branch off from the playground — bring a stroller or wheelchair as surfaces are smooth throughout.
⏰Musical instruments are spread across the play area; younger kids gravitate to these even without using the larger structures.
đŸŽŸī¸Arrive on weekday mornings for the least crowded experience, as weekend afternoons draw larger groups.

“Despite Parks and Rec missing requests as other visitors have reported, this is a really fun place to take kids up to 11 or 12 years old. The park itself (not the staff) is 5 star. Its unfortunate and embarrassing that others had bad experiences with reservations. The complaints might be better served on the actual parks and rec website. Personally not having had to make reservations, but on the spot decision to go, we had a great day. I brought plenty of drinks and snacks and lunch, blankets, umbrella and sunscreen. Some toys, frisbee and a ball and spent nearly the entire day there. Seems like a lot but it was weil worth it. The whole day cost about $50 thats including gas from Strasburg there and back for 2 toddlers, and 4 boys 6 through 11. They were exhausted going home and the rest of the night was peaceful. So if you can manage to bring a few extra items, your day should be fun and fulfilling. 👍”
