We had a birthday party at Invasion Laser Tag and it was the best! We had a group of 7 year old boys and the team at Invasion Laser Tag ran the party so well with a lively group of kids! It was the easiest party that we've ever hosted! The kids had a blast and the team there is so nice!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children ages 7 and up. The minimum age is firm, so younger kids cannot participate. Birthday parties for school-age groups are a strong use case β€” staff run the games and keep energy high. Avoid peak weekend evenings if your kids are sensitive to crowds, as the all-you-can-play format draws larger groups.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Walk-ins are always welcome β€” no advance booking needed for casual play sessions
⏰Multi-game packages deliver better value per game than single-game entry
🎟️Friday and Saturday late-night sessions run an all-you-can-play format β€” arrive early in the evening for the best experience with younger players before crowds build
πŸš—The minimum age is 7 β€” no exceptions are made for younger children

β€œDate of Visit: Saturday April 18, 2026 The laser tag itself is fine, but the management at this San Marcos location is a total disaster by the young man store manager. I booked my kid's party from 3:00–5:00 PM and the manager on duty managed to ruin the mood before the party even started, absolute lack of professionalism. I was told to be there 10 minutes early to decorate, but the room was empty and I was told to wait because the room was being cleaned. I had to scramble to set up while my guests stood there watching me at 3 pm. The manager was rude, dismissive, and never even used 'sir' or 'ma'am. After I called out the lack of preparation, he spent the rest of the party hiding and ignoring us instead of trying to fix the situation. I asked the manager to wait for all my guests get there to start the first Lazertag name. I asked for the drinks to be placed in the room. I asked for the arcade cards for my guests at 3:15 pm. The manager said no to all my requests, he replied "there's water". And my guests must finish playing the first round of Lazertag to get arcade cards. We must follow their party schedule. He then asked me with a condescending tone if I want to see their schedule. I'm a teacher, I run my schedule all day with 26 kids daily. I wonder if I paid for a birthday party to be hosted here or did I pay to get lectured by a young man. The 'Service' Failures: Stingy Food: The pizza portions are patheticβ€”basically half a slice per kid. Drink Jail: They refused to provide the included drinks until after Round 2. My guests literally had to go out and pay for their own drinks on the side because the venue was being so difficult. Zero Coordination: Staff rushed the kids into the arena without checking if the guests had even arrived. Several children missed almost their entire first round. The Bottom Line: The staff didn't do a single thing to make the birthday girl feel special. Don't let the 'fun' of laser tag fool youβ€”hosting a party here is a disorganized, disrespectful vibe to paying parents. I am posting this so the owners know exactly how their shift was run today. Save your money and take your business to a venue that actually respects the parents paying the bill and provides the service they promised." Also, I am paying to make my kid feel special all of her guests entertained. $380 for having an empty party room for two hours with 3 games and withholding drinks, arcade cards, and minimal portion of cheap pizza is a rip off.”
