1 / 3Jellyfish Playground
đ Pike Place Market, WA
Jellyfish-themed play structure on Alaskan Way, Seattle Waterfront, directly adjacent to the Seattle Aquarium. Features a two-story slide and a smaller 3-ft slide.
Extremely well maintained, kids had fun on it while we waited for the aquarium to open.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for children aged 5 and up on the tall slide â the two-story height and narrow climb require confidence and physical readiness. Younger children can use the 3-ft slide. On busy weekend days, the tall slide bottleneck can frustrate both kids and parents. Visit on quieter weekday mornings for the smoothest experience.

âThe architects have no understanding of children. The slide is 2 stories tall and the climb up has a choke point making it impossible to exit if a child gets cold feet. On busy days this can lead to lots of yelling and kids panicking. The only other side is 3ft tall and too kiddy for grade school kids. So if your kid is either 3 or a budding Red Bull athlete this is perfect. Architects should feel bad- bad job folks.â

Overview
Jellyfish Playground sits on the Seattle Waterfront along Alaskan Way, making it a natural companion to a Seattle Aquarium visit. The centerpiece is a two-story tall slide reached via a climb with a documented choke point â children who hesitate at the top can create bottlenecks on crowded days. A smaller 3-foot slide serves as an alternative for younger or less confident children. The playground is described as extremely well maintained.
