π Oxford, MI
K1 Speed Oxford runs all-electric adult and junior karts on a challenging indoor road course. GLO Karting Fridays add blacklight atmosphere. Bowling, darts, and pool tables round out the visit.
The staff here was really friendly and clearly doing their best, which i really appreciate. However. The overall experience was frustrating due to long wait times and poor communication. We waited almost an hour before asking when our group would be able to race, and were told it would be another 40 minutes before we could go together. At that point, our group started the refund process. One person was fully refunded before staff then told us weβd be up next if we just waited. We decided to wait, but after another 10 minutes, we still werenβt called. When racers were finally sent out, only three people were calledβand one of them had already been refunded. That was pretty confusing and disappointing They also have a not so great refund process (either a full refund or keeping races on your account), but the experience could be much smoother with better communication. Even just setting expectations upfront about long wait times or offering a text notification system would make a huge difference so guests could grab food or relax instead of standing around. Overall, great staff, but the organization and communication need improvement
π Family Action Verdict
Best for kids tall enough to meet the junior kart height requirement and older teens who can handle the adult karts. Younger children enjoy watching from the spectator area. Groups and birthday parties are well-accommodated with dedicated meeting rooms. Weekday afternoons offer shorter queues than weekend evenings.

βIve had better customer service at a drive thru restaurant than the teen girl behind the counter. She refused to explain the need for a membership, told me the wrong time for the junior ride, literally said "if you dont like it, sorry, we dont offer refunds" even before the race started. She rolled her eyes when I used a gift card. The guys helping with helmets were great. 28 bucks a race for 5 mins and 42 seconds is ATROCIOUS! It shouldnt cost 100 bucks for two kids to ride around a track twice. Never again!β
