A great local theatre that supports independent and foreign films alike. Usually also hosts a blockbuster or two as well. It's a smaller venue so don't expect it to have huge screening rooms with the top notch recliners or 3D, but it does have a very cozy vibe to it. The staff are mostly young, fun, and kind. I've seen some great movies here that I wouldn't have heard of otherwise, I'm grateful for this theatre! Edit: Ask them about the gremlin in their popcorn, it's DEFINITELY from a Christmas movie

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best suited for families with older kids or teens who appreciate independent and foreign cinema over mainstream blockbusters. The intimate setting works well for film enthusiasts, but expect worn facilities and potential maintenance issues that may disappoint families seeking a premium movie experience.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Check seat condition when entering - some may be blocked off due to water damage
⏰Ask about unique concession items like samosas beyond standard movie snacks
🎟️Purchase tickets online to avoid potential issues with staff at the door
πŸš—Expect a smaller, more intimate theater experience rather than luxury reclining seats

β€œOld movie palace meets multiplex theater tech. The Hollywood glitz is there, the screen is magnificent. The concession stand had samosas!, which thrilled my vegetarian self no end. I wanted something a bit more substantial than popcorn. Very pleased,.”

β€œAbsolutely have to concur with what people have said about the seats. They are so worn and ugly looking, but comfortable. I’ve always loved this chain of theaters. The best chain to go to for independent and foreign film. I just wish the Laemmles would show this theater some love and fix the seats up.”

β€œCranky and rude older man checking people in. After he was a jerk to me I stood in line for popcorn and he started to yell(no exaggeration) at the next woman in line behind me because she didn’t purchase a ticket online even though there were still seats available. Me and other customers were looking at eachother like what the heck is going on. Seats are worn and blocked off with water buckets and it’s dirty right when you walk in. I actually think this place is cute and has great potential but I definitely will never go back mainly because of the rude man that seemed like he was ready to argue with whoever walked in.”
