Lil’ Philly Safety Village
📍 North Philadelphia, PA
Miniature bike lanes, crosswalks, and stop signs let kids practice urban street navigation in a motor-vehicle-free zone in Hunting Park, North Philly.
Nice and safe little playground for learners. Isolated enough for safety which is better than riding on the street for little ones
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for kids ages 3–12 learning to ride bikes or scooters and build road-safety confidence. The enclosed, car-free layout makes it appropriate for early independent riders. Families with older children can extend the ride to the surrounding park's street loops.

Overview
Lil' Philly Safety Village opened in 2021 as the first traffic park in the Greater Philadelphia region. Located at W Hunting Park Drive and W Cayuga Street, it features colorful miniature bike lanes, crosswalks, stop signs, and traffic markers — all completely free of motor vehicles. Kids 12 and under can then take skills to the surrounding park's sidewalks and street loops. The park was designed with direct input from the Hunting Park community.
