America's only drive-through safari lets families stay in their vehicles among free-roaming lions, giraffes, and more. The walk-through section adds kids' rides and a petting zoo.

The drive thru is awesome they do watch for you to keep your windows up for your safety so that part is very important knowing my family was secure in the habitat. The walk thru was even more amazing with rides for kids and a petting zoo. Also a very wide variety of animals.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with kids of any age who want a hands-off wildlife encounter from the car, plus younger children who will love the walk-through rides and petting zoo. Toddlers through teens all get distinct experiences. Hot Florida days can make the walk-through section tiring, so morning visits work best.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Keep all windows fully closed in the lion, elephant, and rhino zones — staff actively monitor and will signal you
⏰Bring snacks and water for the drive-through portion, which can take 60–90 minutes depending on traffic
đŸŽŸī¸Arrive early to maximize time in SafariWorld before afternoon heat peaks
🚗Convertibles and open sunroofs are not permitted on the drive-through route

Overview

Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee spans hundreds of acres where over 900 animals roam freely alongside your car — windows up required in lion and other predator zones. After the drive-through, the walk-through SafariWorld features carnival rides scaled for younger kids, a splash zone, paddle boats, and a petting zoo. The park has operated since 1967 and remains the only cageless drive-through safari in the US.
