1 / 3Long Hunter Playground
📍 Hermitage, TN
Small, clean playground within Long Hunter State Park near Percy Priest Lake. Trails lead to the water for fishing and nature walks. Equipment is in good condition. Ample parking available.
The park is small and clean. We came right after a big rain so there were a few puddles in the swings area but even on a beautiful day this park was not over crowded . Folks were fishing and taking walks on the trails. I’ll come back to explore the trails more especially the lake trail Lots of parking available and beautiful views of the lake.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a calm outdoor experience that goes beyond just the playground. Fishing families and trail hikers get as much from the visit as kids on the equipment. Families with older children who want more challenge may find the playground itself modest, with the trails and lake being the real draw.

“The positives - It's quiet, clean and the equipment is in good condition. What we wish was different? It really needed mowed when we were there. We wish there were swinging gliders for adults to sit in while supervising the kids. Most of all we wish there was a clear, unobstructed view of the lake that adults could enjoy while the kids played. It's a good playground and with a few tweaks it could be great.”
