1 / 2Longmont Climbing Collective
π Longmont, CO
Longmont Climbing Collective features tall indoor bouldering and lead walls, a full fitness center, an indoor track, and yoga. Youth programming and beginner-friendly routes make it accessible for climbing families.
Hell yes! A must for indoor climbing. Huge walls and friendly staff. Tons to do other than climbing as well since they have a full gym and track. Thr outdoor climbing is great too but I didnt try that one just yet.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids who have some climbing interest and parents who want to train alongside them. Teens and older children will find the route difficulty rewarding. Younger children benefit most when pre-enrolled in structured youth sessions rather than open climb.

βI was very excited to join. The gym is top notch with great climbing. I will not be staying though. Be warned! If you sign-up for a morning class you have to cancel before 9pm the previous day. I woke up feeling sick, and could not attend. I received an invoice for $15 for missing a class. I don't feel comfortable any longer signing up for morning classes (or any class where I might be delayed) here because it is somewhat of a gamble. For me, not having access to these classes reduces the value to the point where I have decided to go back to my old climbing gym. I will be able to train without the threat to my wallet. I am bummed.β

βWE FEEL SCAMMED I bought the 10 punch pass which is a very expensive trial option with a family member and was later unable to go back quickly. During the discussion with the sales representative we were told we could use them whenever we wanted. We just went in after 2 years to finally use them and were told they are expired, in direct conflict to our sales pitch. This makes the whole process feel like a cash grab. People unfamiliar with rock climbing, exploring the sport, shouldnβt have a time limit of 1 year.β
