1 / 2Los Angeles County Fire Museum
📍 Bellflower, CA
Small museum in Bellflower displaying fire apparatus from hand-drawn to modern era, including all four vehicles from the Emergency TV series. Retired firefighter docents lead tours with detailed department history.
This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit and hear about the history of the TV show EMERGENCY that made such an incredibly impact on this country on Pre-Hospital Care, Healthcare and Law Enforcement. It is also a tribute to so many in public service and a memorial to many who have given their lives! The docents are incredibly knowledgeable and were all involved in public service during the time of the making of the show so are truly the experts. Equipment is maintained an absolutely immaculate condition and you have an opportunity to spend as much time and ask as many questions as you want. I highly recommend this as one of your stops if you are at all involved in public service and are in the Los Angeles area.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5 and up who love fire trucks or the classic Emergency TV series. The retired firefighter guides make the experience genuinely educational rather than just a walk-past exhibit. Younger children will enjoy the children's section. Compact enough for a 60–90 minute visit.

“Very impressed for a smaller museum. I am a huge EMERGENCY fan so that was the reason I came, to see the vehicles from the show. Along with those vehicles they had some beautifully restored older fire equipment! PRO TIP: Don’t tell them you’re affiliated with law enforcement, they’ll charge you double!! I am a retired LEO. I’m just kidding of course. Great people and very much worth the $5 admission fee.”

“Great time getting to see my favorite childhood show's icons in person, the Emergency Fire Trucks! All 4 of the shows vehicles are here, along with other amazing historical fire trucks and equipment. Retired fire fighters are there to give tours and answer questions. For $5, great time for anyone who is a fan of Fire Fighters and Emergency!”

“Very nice facility and the exhibit we're outstanding. The people that work there are very nice and very informative. My wife wanted to see the museum for the Emergency TV series exhibit but was fascinated by so of the other exhibits and informative videos.”

Overview
Los Angeles County Fire Museum houses decades of firefighting apparatus — antique hand-drawn equipment through modern trucks — alongside a dedicated section for children. The centrepiece is the complete set of vehicles from the Emergency television series, including the iconic Squad 51 and Engine 51. Every tour is led by retired LAFD firefighters who share firsthand knowledge of the equipment and department history. A photo prop area and children's section are on site.
