📍 Montclair, CA
Guided tour experience where kids aged 4–8 complete four DIY stations making personalised crayons and markers to take home. Includes whiteboard drawing, coloring activities, and a costume corner for photos.
If your little one enjoys coloring and art, this place is awesome. While waiting for the tour to start, one can enjoy drawing on these big whiteboards, doing some coloring, and taking some photos. Tours are every 30 minutes, I believe. The first part of the tour is not hands-on; it just shows how the colors and water markers are made. They have a pretty cool machine. Parts 2, 3, and 4 are all hands-on activities. They will show you how to make your own personal markers, paper windmill, and different shapes of crayons. The last part involves placing tattoos or face paint on yourself. There is also a room filled with different costumes for photography. The whole tour is about 2 hours of fun. You will walk away with some coloring goodies. Also, the ticket gives a $2 discount and can be combined. If you are in a large group, why not use it together and get something nice at their souvenir shop? It's a very enjoyable place!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for creative kids aged 4–8 who enjoy art-based activities and want something tangible to take home. Parents with a single child get a smooth, well-paced experience; larger groups should budget for per-head costs that add up. The structured tour format keeps young kids engaged throughout without downtime.

“Lucky Art was such a fun experience! It’s super creative, entertaining, and something both kids and parents can enjoy together. We went with our son and he loved every moment. From start to finish, it kept him smiling and engaged. Just a heads-up for families: depending on how many people you’re going with, it can add up. But for a special outing or memory, it’s definitely worth it. Would recommend if you’re looking for something unique and colorful to do with the kids.”
