1 / 3Lynnwood Ice Center
📍 Lynnwood, WA
Lynnwood Ice Center is a nonprofit public skating rink serving the area for over 30 years.
Great community ice center. A local non-profit operates skate lessons here, with Saturday mornings being a major draw (with other classes available at other times during the week). They schedule skate sessions open to the public with skate rental available. The rink is well-maintained and also set up for hockey. The singular downside is that the parking lot has some very large, deep potholes and some very aggressive speed bumps - drive with care, especially if you have a car with lower ground clearance.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of any skating level, from complete beginners to competitive skaters. The Saturday morning Learn to Skate sessions are the top pick for kids starting out. Parents new to skating will find rental gear on-site.

“Great open skate, not overwhelming crowded from what we experienced. Would be great if they offered shorter times. We would go way more often. My 5 year old is new to the skating game and likes to skate for short periods of time. If they offered 5-10$ for 15-20 minute sessions I would be more inclined to go 2-3 times a week. It is hard to justify paying 18-20$ plus the rental skates for my son to skate for 15 mins and be satisfied and ready to go home. Juat my opinion, might be a nice option to add for the little ones.”

“Love the people who skate here and the community but staff tend to be unfriendly and sometimes rude. They also often cut off ice time early for their convenience which is a disappointment to all. Today they cut off the time 6 minutes early and then yelled rudely at some kids to get off. Staff need to work on their customer service or else they will lose paying regular skaters, as I’ve already heard many people wanting to skate elsewhere because of the reasons above.”
