1 / 2Main Event Alpharetta
π Alpharetta, GA
Main Event Alpharetta combines bowling lanes, laser tag, and a large arcade under one roof. Hosts kids birthday parties. Recent reviews flag some equipment reliability issues on bowling lanes and arcade machines.
This place was great at a time but it is a little run down now. Many of the games donβt work. It could use a refresh.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families treating the visit as a multi-activity outing rather than focusing solely on bowling β the combination of laser tag and arcade provides backup entertainment if any single attraction underperforms. Kids ages 6 and up get the most from the full activity mix. Confirm lane conditions at the desk before paying for bowling shoes.

βAbsolutely disgusting experience. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We bought the Monday Madness pass and got there around 11:45 PM. They charged us $39 immediately without even bothering to explain anything properly or ask about shoes. When we asked for a proper bill, they would not even give us one and only handed over the card receipt like that was somehow enough. We drove 15 miles because we had a decent experience with Main Event before, but Main Event Alpharetta is a complete joke. Nothing worked. The pins kept falling over on their own before anyone even bowled. Then the machines kept getting stuck every few minutes. We had to switch lanes three times because every lane had some new issue. For almost 40 minutes, we were not even bowling, we were just standing there waiting for someone to come fix their broken equipment. We called staff over at least 10 times and nobody seemed to care at all. The front desk staff was beyond rude and useless. They acted like we were inconveniencing them for expecting the lane to actually work. Instead of apologizing, they kept saying they could not refund us because we had βalready been there for an hour,β even though most of that time was wasted dealing with broken lanes, stuck pins, and waiting around. They first gave us a handwritten pass for only 1 hour, then after we argued because of how much time they wasted, they suddenly rewrote it to unlimited. That alone shows they knew they messed up. There were not even enough bowling balls available, so we had to keep taking balls from empty neighboring lanes. The place was half empty and still somehow they could not manage basic bowling equipment. This place is badly run, poorly maintained, and clearly nobody working there cares. We were planning to come back with a group of 10 people this weekend, but after this disaster, there is no chance. Complete waste of $39 and a complete waste of time.β

βSpent $100 on bowling just for the machine to knock down all the pins every time. Never againβ

βDefinitely don't go bowling here - it has really gone downhill. It wasn't crowded at all, but the lane they put us on was in terrible shape. Half the time we bowled, it either wouldn't detect the ball was thrown, or most often it would knock over pins when it was clearing. It was impossible to compete with each other since everyone's scores were wrong. Worst of all, I pretty quickly went to the desk to ask for another lane since plenty were open. The guy at the desk didn't seem surprised or bothered at all with the issues we were having, and just said all the other lanes were down for repair. Either he was too lazy, or that was true - either way that tells me not to bother coming back here. On top of all that, the bowling ball I used had rough holes and ended up cutting my finger while using it, so I had to stop bowling. Find another bowling place - don't waste your time or money here!β
