1 / 2Martin Luther King Jr. Park
π South Los Angeles, CA
Well-maintained community park with baseball diamond, basketball courts, tennis courts, and children's playground. Popular for family recreation and community events in South LA.
Love it here I see a lot of black people bbq, hanging out in parking lot, playing soccer, basketball, and have events for the kids throughout the year and drum circle music events I believe on Friday and Sunday not sure tho. Whenever I go to the park on Sunday, there is an event for the public going on with Music. Not sure if that happens every Sunday.
π Family Action Verdict
This park works well for families seeking a community-oriented space with multiple activity options including playgrounds, basketball, baseball, and tennis. Best for families comfortable with busy community gatherings and weekend events. Come prepared for limited restroom facilities and potential restrictions on field access.

βLots of recreation facilities tightly packed in one park, a baseball field, playground, basketball courts, and a tennis court that look like well maintained. Everything was open during my visit on a Sunday, except the restrooms, which were locked.β

βI really enjoyed this park! Doesn't matter about the location, I had a great time. It was very safe, peaceful, and all of the people that were there were very pleasant. You can play softball, baseball, lift weights, whatever you want. I was not too happy about the conditions of the restrooms though. The restrooms need a lot of work. Beware if you need to use the restroom. Other than that, I had a really good time and I've visited on a few occasions.β
