1 / 2Mayor’s Bicentennial Park
📍 Verdugo Woodlands, CA
A 2.35-acre neighborhood park in Glendale featuring paved walking paths, footbridges, a small playground, picnic areas, and access to rustic trails through natural landscaping. Dogs on leash welcome.
Cute little park with access to some trails. The park itself has paved walking paths and footbridges. It feels more rustic than your typical park. Parking is pretty limited, especially on weekends. Dogs on leash allowed, and there are poop bag dispensers.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and preschoolers who enjoy nature exploration over elaborate play equipment. The rustic trails and natural landscaping reward curious young children. Older kids may exhaust the playground quickly. Arrive early on weekends — parking is sparse and fills fast.

“Cleland Park is a great place for kids and families. The playground is newly renovated and the field is now open with soccer goals and sports supplies. Dogs must be on leash at all times in the field.”

Overview
Mayor's Bicentennial Park offers paved paths with footbridges through landscaped grounds, a compact play structure, rolling hills, picnic tables, and access to adjacent rustic trails. The natural setting draws families for nature walks and photography. The playground is small — a single play structure with no swings — making the trails and open space the main draw for most visitors.
