1 / 3Montrose Community Park
π Montecito Park, CA
Montrose Community Park combines playgrounds, baseball and softball fields, pickleball courts, and undeveloped hiking trails in a well-lit, paved-path setting. Dog-friendly with poop bag dispensers on-site. Free parking off Clifton Place.
Situated in the Montrose section of Glendale this is a large well lit spacious park with fields for baseball and softball and pickleball courts, parking is available off of Clifton place but is a small lot and fills up fast additional parking can be found off if verdygoi road.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for active families who want multiple options in one stop β playground time, a casual hit on the tennis or pickleball courts, and a dog-friendly trail walk. Weekday visits are noticeably quieter. Families with toddlers should do a quick scan of the playground area on busy weekends, as some visitors have flagged litter as a recurring concern.

βGreat park with playgrounds and ball fields, but also an undeveloped section with a few short trails where you can take your dog on a little hike. Poop bag dispensers availableβ

βMy favorite place for playing tennis. 2 courts, free of charge. Sometimes have to wait in line but usually not more than 15 minutes. Good lighting if you are playing after dark. Calm and quite, except on weekends when there is too much people on the playground. Fresh air, the court is surrounded with green and trees. Lots of rabbits in and around the park, i am assuming other animals who prey on them would be abundant too.β

βMontrose Community Park looks well kept and beloved by the community. It has two baseball fields near Verdugo Rd and if you walk inside the park through the paved path between the baseball rings, you'll see a play ground, tennis courts and a half basketball court. That's where you can find the public restrooms too.β

Overview
The park's paved main path links baseball fields near Verdugo Road to a central playground, tennis courts, and a half basketball court. An undeveloped section with short natural trails is popular with dog walkers. Good lighting throughout makes evening visits practical. A secondary parking area on Verdugo Road serves overflow when the main Clifton Place lot fills. The park is community-maintained and sees heavy weekend use.
